DON'T TALK ABOUT IT, BE ABOUT IT

Don't Talk About It, Be About It, by Joey Lusterman, is an exploration and glorification of suburban youth culture and psyche. Using many forms of execution that navigate through physical and digital spaces, a representation of this reality surfaces. Some of these methods include examination of hoarding, Photoshop jamming, critical thinking and cultural research via dvd rentals, music video downloads, streams of inane YouTube commentaries, and real life experiences. The picture that emerges is fragmented, absurd, and fascinating.

Joey Lusterman is a young artist, currently in his junior year at Pacific Northwest College of Art. His work is heavily influenced by his California upbringing, an appreciation for youth culture, special effects, the Adobe Creative Suite, and physical comedy. He enjoys barbecuing and blockbuster action hits.
